While performing Akitas training, the weight of the dogs should be monitored regularly. The weight criterion is different for both genders.
For Males (35–54kg)
For Females (30-45kg)
Height:
Height criterion is also different for both the genders.

Socializing your pet with outsiders/guests:
Akitas are unfriendly in nature, hence the most imperative step in Akitas training is teaching the pet to be welcoming and trusting towards people they don’t recognize. This training should be performed at an early age because at that age Akitas are more resilient as compared to the older ones. Moreover, the Akitas must be guided about how to behave when other animals and dogs are around.
To avoid the aggressiveness of Akitas they should never be kept in a house with other animals. Since they are very possessive about their food, they should always be fed alone especially in the absence of kids.
