My motive to set this website up is to help you the Akita dog owners facing with their Akitas obedience training difficulties.

It is difficult to find a dog owner having no share of his problems. Their dogs have the tendency to dig, scratch, whine, bite or bark and they do so in best possible situations.

Hence there are huge chances that an Akita dog owner is really in the need of Akita Dog Training. This need is still strong if the dog was not trained in its proper age of training. Here are some most common issues and their corresponding remedies to help you:

Akita Dog Training to Stop Aggression

The Akita has a reputation for being an excellent house dog. This breed was developed for excellent guard dogs. So Akitas are naturally protective of their home and family. Hence if they guess anything inflicting they chance being aggressive. Situation goes more tense if the right training did not socialize them.

In some particular circumstances they might be sufficiently annoyed to use aggressive force against new animals and persons in their housing. No Akita owner should take it as a normal behaviour rather a possible reaction and no dog owner should be unaware of it.

Socialization of your puppy while it is quite young is a strong and big step to get rid of your dog of aggression problems, so you should never ignore this step. You must maintain your alpha leadership in the household ever to make your Akita to realize its deferral to respond itself rather you respond to concerned circumstances.

Akita Dog Training to Stop Chase

Hunting done by Akita generations of far past has resulted in its strong tendency to take other animals as its prey and hence to kill them. Hence your Akita chases squirrels and cats of the neighboring house. This negative behaviour of your Akita is a serious issue.

Akita can be managed well if you keep it locked up whenever it is outdoor. Introduce your new cat to your Akita when it is a quite young puppy.

Click Here Now to Discover the BEST Akita Training Tips!

Akita Dog Training to Stop Separation Anxiety

You pay her very much attention when leaving and coming home and she desires still more and more. Your Akita is very nice at her heart. For her you are the best thing in this world. She wants always to be with you. Hence separation anxiety catches her which is a big problem.

When you are away she misses you very much and barks. She makes messes inside the house. She pulls her hair, scratches paws, breaks teeth, i.e. lot of damage to herself.

Answer to this issue is you and also any other member in your house should never pay her any attention while leaving or coming back to house. Akita in her quite young age should be taught to not to hanker about huge attention.

Akita Dog Training to Stop Neuroticism

Akita Dog Training Helps To Pinpoint Neuroticism

Neurosis is a functional disorder. Remember in this case central nervous system is quite in order. Akita shows abnormal and maladaptive digging, scratching, eating, or other common behaviours.

She responds to novel objects, sounds, touches, movements and even odors with exaggerated active or passive defensive responses. Important signs include excessive salivation, elevated pulse and respiration, and abnormally low urine output.

Your Akita fails to retain (in some cases, even to develop) voluntary or involuntary conditioned reflexes. Usually you see her failure to form and/or retain learned associations involving defense and social behaviorisms.

Akita Dog Training Helps To Deal With Neuroticism

Best way to deal with this issue is keep your Akita busy. Adequate exercise, and early socialization can keep away this problem.

Your Akita is not much different when coming to dog problems. But if these problems are not addressed in early stage they can lead to major drastic issues.

So attend your Akita well and right away to see her healthy and happy in her entire life span. An early relationship with your Akita can result in your best comfort and her life comfort. This site ‘Akita Dog Training’ is meant for to fetch all the comforts a dog owner dreams.

Role of Akita temperament

If you own an Akita dog then the knowledge of your Akita temperament should of great importance for you. Because man and dog’s friendship is a concrete reality. Dog has sufficient intelligence to be able to do many tasks which can be of great utility to man in daily life. So all of us love dogs. In such closeness the role of your Akita temperament becomes a key to all the concerns between you and your Akita.

It is right when you are in the process of selection of a dog, you concentrate on its general characteristics, its look and health. Perhaps you are missing your thought about its general temperament. If it is so you are really doing a great mistake. The general temperament of your dog is not equally important to the said attributes but it is the most important among them. So now we are going into some details of Akita temperament which will help you to calculate its matching and fitting into your life style.

Correct definition of Akita temperament

In general Akita temperament is one of extreme power and strength consequently it is too much to handle. A correct definition of Akita temperament can be that of being alert, quite aloof, especially towards strangers, protective of family and property, territorial, dominant towards other animals, intelligent, loyal, proud, affectionate and stubborn.

Now you know that Akita is a very large muscular and dominant dog and Akita temperament being one of extreme power and strength, it is considered a formidable dog. Akita is too intelligent to take a nonsense. So you must break it constantly into submission, and it should be so for its whole life span. But do not take it as such that you are being advised to be cruel toward your Akita. I am simply guiding you to lead your Akita with firm as well as constant hand and it is necessary for its effective training.

Organic nature of the Akita temperament

Akita is neither easily submissive, not automatically friendly with the man. Akita in general feels that she is better than any one around her. The chances are rare that it will automatically allow your child to ride on its back. Akita temperament has wide range. Akita temperament can range from calm to bouncy and aggressive, so the breed should always be supervised around small children and other animals.

Just CLICK Here to Put an END to Your ALL Akita Dog Problems FOR GOOD!

An Akita should never have the feeling of her being boss

All the family members should never forget to make their Akita feel that she is not their boss. This should be constantly, then and only then, your Akita will eventually submit to its place in the pack.

It is important for every member of the family to show this dog who is the boss, and that the dog is not the boss. If the human family members can make this dog understand that they are not the boss of the humans, then the dog will eventually submit to its place in the pack. This is the organic nature of the Akita temperament.

The Akita temperament is hard-wired

Good News

The Akita temperament is hard-wired however by means of decades of breeding to reply in a certain way in particular situations. The Akita temperament might seem like too much to deal with, but the good news is that when it’s trained well, the Akita is extremely loyal to its pack/family family members. It is so loyal, that it doesn’t welcome strangers in the home very well.

Akita temperament needs Intensive Training

Akita owners just needs to make sure that they’re ready to roll up their sleeves and do some intensive training with this dog keeping in the mind the scene of Akita temperament.

Loyalty is the most important feature of an Akita Behavior

The most important feature of Akita behavior which goes in the favor of man is its loyalty to his owner. True loyalty can make one less efficient win over the more efficient one. Perhaps this their extreme loyalty has made them again popular and spread over the world from once at the blink of extinction in Japan. Akita can be attributed as the greatest of all dogs because it gives its coat for warmth, guards the children, and protects men from danger. Akitas are well-revered for these beneficent characteristics.

Akita is too intelligent to get bored

In addition being very royal the Akita is also very intelligent. Akita does not tolerate any nonsense being intelligent. Her being intelligent many times push her into boredom. You must wary of Akita’s boredom, because it can spill over into problems for her mental health. Boredom easily can cause them destructive and aggressive if they are not having anything to do. If plenty of exercise is given to them, they can feel happy in the apartments. Akita are often excited when see their owners, often wiggle around and make happy grunts.

Do not let them be alone for very long

As Akita is very loyal to its owner, and is bored due to her intelligence, she usually feels an attachment to the owner. So it is important to spend a lot of time with her because they are not used to being alone for very long. You will have to do this keeping in the mind the Akita behavior.

Akitas are pack dogs

Akitas are pack dogs, and they like to be dominant too. In ‘dog society’, a dog must earn its place close to the pack leader. The pack leader would never wants to cuddle up to a subordinate dog, it would be the other way around. Akitas being in pack dog category, they prefer the contact of other dogs they know well and especially their owner’s. However, dog owners should never send out these pleas for affection from their dogs, doting on them as if they were the pack leaders. This Akita behavior warns you that you should never raise an Akita up.

Akitas are protectors

Akita dogs are proved protectors of children and great family dogs. Condition is that must be well accustomed to the owner’s family as they never accept strangers even up to least bit. Akitas are very good with youngsters from their own family, and often quite playful, but they must be watched around other people’s children because they could knock them over anytime during play. As Akitas are natural guardians of the home and should not be trained as a guard dogs.

Just CLICK Here to Put an END to Your ALL Stresses and Annoyances Caused by Your Akita Dog Problems FOR GOOD!

Give them only moderate exercise

Only the moderate exercise suits the Akitas. If they are teased by more than required exercise or some other way, there are the chances that it may corrupt their marvelous great guard abilities.

Akitas are aggressive toward smaller animals

Akitas can consider small animals prey and hunt them. They tend to be aggressive towards smaller animals like cats, rodents, birds, small wildlife and smaller dogs, particularly those of the same sex. If you keep other pets in your house, Akita should be given its own separate food bowl. Be wary that no animal, small children, or strangers are allowed near the Akita during its dinner. However, they can be happy with other dogs and animals provided they are socialized well.

Eye contact as a challenge

Many times Akitas consider eye contact a challenge and become aggressive. They are having this trait from their wolf ancestry and your dominant position in your family life any can be challenged by them time . This Akita behavior is never to be tolerated. You must correct it consistently with immediate response. Akita holding good temperament accepts discipline well from those it loves. Discipline does not mean beating . Do not put hours’ gap between discipline and an incident. Otherwise the dog can not associate the discipline with an incident , because it is not having such memory to recall after hours.

Use of the name of an Akita

Use name only to reward the Akita Behavior

If you call your Akita by its name with sweet voice, it is a reward for her. So when you are teaching her discipline you should never call her name during correction in sweet voice. Because it will work as a reward for unwanted Akita behavior, and this unwanted behavior is reinforced. Similarly during corrections you never use her name in harsh voice, because in this way she can be confused to associate her name to a punishment and will never feel her name so sweet as for reward. This confused behavior during training can develop unwanted complicacies for her whole life. So if you are confused when and how to use her name, better you carry on discipline without using its name.

Let your Akita associate her name to love and affection but not punishment

Each time your Akita comes to you it should be rewarded with praise and love. Do not call your Akita to you for discipline that encourages your dog to not come when called. Do not use its name when discipling it, you want the Akita to associate its name with love and affection, not punishment.

In-activeness of Akitas

Akitas are not usually hyper active and fit into a sedentary household. You should go walking or playing in the yard with your Akita keeping in mind the in-activeness in ‘Akita Behavior’.

Never Raise An Akita Puppy

Before we go to ‘training an Akita puppy’, we should keep in mind some major facts about Akitas. They are well-known in the world as Japanese bear-fighting dogs. They have given protection to the villagers of Japan for hundreds of years from violent carnivores and have provided security to their hoards. Over the time their role has been changed. Now they are well accepted docile family companions. Their loyalty is unquestionable, but you should not do the mistake of raising an Akita. Raising her means she has presented a challenge to you, whatever experience you may have as an Akita owner, you are challenged. So never raise an Akita is the first but foremost instruction to be followed in training an Akita puppy.

Collar and Lead

If you have brought an Akita puppy home, immediately fit her with a sturdy collar. Attach her lead to the collar. The collar will help to identify your puppy. Let her drag the lead around while moving. She will be used to feel and bear the weight of lead on the collar. Soon she will be comfortable with collar and lead. Now when she is in comfort with lead, hold the lead in your hand and follow her around. It will not let her frighten from someone walking alongside her. And it is again a very important part of training an Akita puppy.

Crate Training an Akita Puppy

Put your Akita’s crate in that area which is highly disturbance free. It is the general tendency of Akitas to be somewhat territorial especially in the concern of their personal space. So with crate in peaceful area they can rest well. Put there in some toys of her choice to save her from boredom during rest.

Feeding Schedule

You should put your Akita puppy on a feeding schedule. If feeding is unscheduled you will be impossible for you to monitor the intake of Akitas as more or less they are piggish eaters. Feed her daily on fixed time. Make sure her approach to clean water.

Potty Training

Reserve Potty area

Reserve a portion of space as her potty area. This will make her recognize the area for her potty and will go there whenever she needs.

CLICK HERE and Discover the Right Way Akitas Training to Train Your Akita Yourself at Home to END Your Akita Problems FOR GOOD!

Potty Training an Akita Puppy

Growing puppy requires frequent trips to potty area. If her trips are not managed accordingly you will face accidents. Be sure that your puppy goes outside after each intake and upon walking. It is the time when she needs going out most. Care that nothing should distract her from going out. Praise her each time she does so. It is again the most important part of training an Akita puppy.

Commands

Just start from a simple command. Simple commands can make your puppy more obedient one.Sit, stay, come, lie down and heel are priceless commands to start with and better start when your Akita is young. Do not rush the commands. Just take one. Teach it for 2-3 days. Now add the next one and let both goes for a week. Now add the third one and let them go for 10 or 15 days depending upon the progress of your puppy. Revise the previous ones and add the next and so on. Always give more time to new command than to the revision of previous ones.

Best start from lie down command. Hold the treat in your hand, while giving command to lie down, move the treat toward the ground. Your puppy is expected to follow the treat. As soon as she follows, give her treat and praise immediately. Repeat it many times until she does the skill without any lure. Teaching and rewarding on performance of a skill should go on while training an Akita Puppy.

Socialization

Your Akita puppy should be fist fully vaccinated, and then taken out with you to various places, whenever and where-ever you can take her for outings, for example market, petrol pump etc. If she is allowed to see and contact people then she will never feel shy. Seeing various new things will help easing her possible fears. So here ends ‘Training An AkitaPuppy’.

If yes, then you might be looking for tips that will help with Akita Puppy Training.

For ease we can divide Akita Puppy Training into three sections. Section first covers the topics: collar, lead and crate; section II covers: feeding schedule, and potty training; the last i.e. The section III covers: commands and socialization. Let we discuss them one by one.

Akita Puppy Training Section I

Collar

First, you need to get a collar for your puppy. A strong collar will help you to affix a lead to your pet to make it much easier to identify and hold her.

Clip the lead on the collar, which will allow her to drag it around in order to get accustomed to weight. Once she is comfortable, you can hold the lead lightly while following her around so that she will not become frightened if someone is walking beside her.

Crate

Next, you should put her crate in an undisturbed, quiet area at home. When it comes to personal space, these puppies can become somewhat territorial. With the crate in quiet area she will feel more comfortable and will rest in peace. You can also add some toys so that she will not become bored whilst resting.

Akita Puppy Training Section II

Feeding Schedule Pointed By Akita Puppy Training

It is important to establish a regular schedule for feeding in order to monitor her food intake. Try to feed her the same time daily and ensure that clean water is provided at all times. How should you feed to your akitas puppy? Find its answer below in Akita Puppy Training Program’s Week Based Feeding Schedule. This is only basic feeding guide. For specific requirements of your Akita consult your vet.

Week Based Feeding Schedule

The First 3 Weeks-

Never separate any puppy from her mother within first 3 weeks. Her mother knows the best schedule for this time.

CLICK HERE to Get Rid Of Your All Akita Problems For Good! Even The Most Complex Problems Will Disappear Away With Incredible Ease!

4 to 6 Weeks-

Puppies should start taking some solid food in the 4th week. Mix tree parts food with one part of water. Instead of water better use replacement milk. Feed your puppy in this period 4 times a day.

6 to 8 Weeks-

Feed your puppy during this period 3 times a day.

9 to All Further Weeks-

Feeding should be twice a day.

Akita Puppy Training Section III

Potty Training

Create a section in the yard to use as potty area. A small spot will be enough for the puppy to recognize it as the potty area.

Take the puppy outside regularly to prevent accidents inside the house. Since her body is small and she is still growing, this means regular trips to the potty area. Ensure that your puppy heads outside right after each meal and after waking because she will want to go most at these times. Stand silently and allow her to go with no disruptions.

Commands

During the process of Akita Puppy Training, you should use simple commands that will help her to become obedient. Some skills like stay; sit; come; lie down and heel will be very helpful as your puppy gets bigger, so start at young age. It is good idea to start with the lie down command.

For this, you can hold a little snack in your hand, while giving the lie down command. When you move the snack down towards the ground the puppy will follow it. Once she is down, give her the treat with some compliments. Continue doing this until she is lying down without the treat.

Socialization

Finally, you can interact socially with your puppy by going on regular trips. Akita puppies could be relatively timid when they are not allowed to visit different locations and meet people, so as soon as she gets vaccinated you can take on your outdoor excursions. However, training Akitas is not an easy job because of their aggressive, complicated, and unfriendly nature.

History:

Basically, Akitas are the inhabitants of Japan, and their existence dates back to the 16th century to the Island of Honshu. Since it is the national dog of Japan therefore it is profoundly honoured by people living in Japan.

Primitively Akitas training was carried out by the Japanese people to use them for hunting, guarding, and military purposes but because of their attractive appearance and outstanding guarding instincts, they became popular among people all over the world.

Description of the Akita Inu

Akita Inus belongs to the Japanese-Splitz type breed of the dogs. They are extremely powerful, handsome, calm, and reserved dogs. They are referred as quiet dogs because they rarely bark. These are the reasons that Akitas are reckoned as a good choice among pet dogs. Some of the traits of these dogs are as follows:

Characteristics:

They are highly defensive of their family and dominion. The reason behind the popularity of Akitas is their strength, cleverness, resilience, and obeisance qualities. However, these dogs also possess a hostile and aggressive nature. Therefore, it is very important that Akitas training should be performed when the dogs are young and they should be trained by the owner himself.

Appearance:

As stated before, Akitas are good-looking dogs with a wide and deep chest, small ears and triangular dark brown eyes. Their resemblance with wolfs is prized by many dog fanciers. They are found in different attractive colors like red, brindle, sesame and pure white.

Weight:

While performing Akitas training, the weight of the dogs should be monitored regularly. The weight criterion is different for both genders.

For Males (35–54kg)

For Females (30-45kg)

Height:

Height criterion is also different for both the genders.

For Males (64-70 cm)

For Females (58-64 cm)

Socializing your pet with outsiders/guests:

Akitas are unfriendly in nature, hence the most imperative step in Akitas training is teaching the pet to be welcoming and trusting towards people they don’t recognize. This training should be performed at an early age because at that age Akitas are more resilient as compared to the older ones. Moreover, the Akitas must be guided about how to behave when other animals and dogs are around.

To avoid the aggressiveness of Akitas they should never be kept in a house with other animals. Since they are very possessive about their food, they should always be fed alone especially in the absence of kids.

So in order to have a well behaved Akita, one should adopt him when he is young and start training immediately. Always remember that ‘Akitas Training ‘ is a complicated task, hence right things should be taught in the right way in order to avoid the puppy from going astray.

Age specific Akita Training tips

Akita training for puppies

It is important to note that Akita training should begin while the dog is still a puppy. The Akita breed of dogs often grows into a large, warrior like adolescent which will obviously be much harder to handle. Akita dogs that are not properly trained while young often return to their natural instinct which is hunting. Adolescent dogs can be very dangerous to walk around without a leash if they are not properly trained.

Puppy training should focus on activities that keep the dog challenged and exhausts the excess energy that he may be having. Once Akita’s become bored, they begin destroying and expending the energy in a negative manner.

Akita training tips, maximum obedience

The most important thing to remember is that Akita dogs are highly intelligent. This means that you will have to ensure the training program is challenging enough for your dog. In addition, Akita dogs require agile training exercises to manage their weight and movement capacity.

Akita training tips: dealing with dominance

The Akita breed is highly territorial, and this often leads to a struggle for balance. A good tip is to ensure that from the time the dog is a puppy, you can grant them space that is just for them, before putting boundaries.

Health specific Akita training tips

Managing the Akita heart with Akita training tips

Many Akita owners tend to focus so much on the agility training, and often forget that although Akita dogs are very large they have a very small heart. This means that the dogs cannot be able to withstand too much exercise or as much anesthetic as other breeds. It is therefore important to avoid situations during training where the dog needs to be put under anesthesia, as they are likely to die on the operation table.

As a general tips, ensure that the exercises you are training your dog with, is not excessive and in terms of time and energy expended.

Akita training tips for bloating

This breed of dogs is normally susceptible to bloating; therefore it is important as an owner to constantly look out for symptoms such as attempted vomiting and lack of appetite. The issue should be dealt with immediately it is observed. It has been noted that in addition to diet changes, simple exercises such as Frisbee catch can be used to successfully manage bloating.

General Akita training tips

Take the time to understand the personality of your Akita dog. Generally, this breed requires constant attention, petting and fussing. Lack of attention can make your dog aggressive and ferocious in an attempt to draw attention back to them.

Akita dogs are very devoted to their owners, and are therefore often found in the company of one family member or another. This is a breed that fits into every home as it is very companionable and intelligent. Many owners often feel that the dog becomes part and parcel of their family, fitting into the system immediately and exactly. Therefore, during the Akita training program, it is important to ensure that all family members participate and understand the ‘Akita Training Tips’.
An Akita is a big and powerful dog. It is even considered an aggressive dog. With so many Akita attacks worldwide, you probably thought a lot, before buying your Akita dog.
Akita attacks-the common triggers

An Akita attacks only when it is provoked. On Akita dogs everything is about territory and dominance. But something else might be a trigger too. So, you should always watch your dog carefully. You might observe what makes your dog aggressive. And in the future you’ll recognize the signs and stop an attack before you or someone else gets bitten.

Some dogs became aggressive when they are handled in some way. The same when they are examined by a veterinarian. So, in order to stop Akita attacks, remember always these common triggers:

Being brushed

Being picked up

Nail trims

Eye and dental examinations

Ear exams

Being restrained for examination

Injections or any type of medication

Having puppies-maternal aggression

Intruders-territory invasion

Other dogs

A specific group of people ( people of color, children)

You can always stop Akita attacks, without any problem if you know what might trigger one. So, keep in mind the triggers list from above. This way you are warned and you can tell others too.

Normally a dog does not attack without a warning. So people should pay attention to the dog behavior, to the subtle clues the dog is giving. Any Akita dog can react differently to many situations. But a normal dog delivers several warnings before getting aggressive. Some of these clues are growls and snaps, a brief overall body stillness, pushing the corners of the lips forward. But any Akita owner knows what makes his dog aggressive. So owners can stop Akita attacks just by paying attention to the dog’s warnings.

Akita attacks- What is all about?

You will need some secrets to dog training if you want to be successful, but once you are you will have an extremely obedient and loyal dog.

Akitas are large, powerful dogs weighing in at anything up to one hundred and thirty pounds and standing up to thirty inches tall, and hailing from Japan. Due to their large size and the fact that Akitas are very protective of their territory and masters they make excellent guard dogs, however this makes it essential that they are trained properly from a very young age.

Dog Training Akita Breeds

The first secret to dog training you will need to learn is to house train your puppy. One method to help with this is crate training, however there are two opposing schools of thought when it comes to this. Some people argue that it is cruel to keep a puppy inside of a crate or cage for the first few weeks of its life. If you decide to use this method it is imperative that the dog sees the crate as its home. It must never be put into the crate as a punishment. By offering the dog the crate as its home, and by careful walking after feeding times, the animal will learn never to defecate inside the house.

Akitas And Aggression

Due to the fact that their aggression comes from defending their territory, dog training Akita dogs involves allowing them to interact with other dogs when they are puppies. The more accustomed they are to other dogs the less aggressive they will be. At this stage it is also important to introduce them to children. Due to the excitability of their nature, and the fact that they will stand at roughly the same height as the dog, children are often viewed as a threat by an Akita. To avoid any future biting incidents Akitas must be used to children and see them as harmless.

Dog Training Akita Dogs To Prevent Biting

Secrets to dog training include teaching the dog very early on that biting will be punished. When they are puppies an Akita will often have a little nibble on hands and fingers, as this is in their nature and they do not know any better. Through careful punishment the dog will soon realize that this biting is unacceptable. It may help to buy them a chew toy instead, and to reward them when they bite this rather than a human.

CLICK Here and Reveal ALL Expert Trainers’ Dog Training SECRETS!

From a biological perspective it often helps when trying to train a naturally aggressive dog to have them sprayed or neutered. It has been found that dogs who have gone through this procedure are naturally more relaxed and passive. This will make them much easier to handle and to train effectively. This is a general secret to dog training, not just for Akitas.

Secrets To Dog Training

Walking Your Akita

When looking for the best method of dog training Akita dogs you must consider your responsibilities when walking your dog. You should keep it on its leash around people and other dogs if you are not confident about its behavior. This will allow you to control the animal by reigning it in if it is becoming aggressive or too excitable. This constant reaffirmation of correct behavior is an essential step in training your Akita properly.

Secrets To Dog Training – Keeping Your Akita Healthy

In addition, because Akitas are such energetic dogs they do require to be walked several times each day. This will not only keep them fit and healthy, it will also allow them to be in an environment where there are people and other dogs. Finally, long walks will tire your Akita out, reducing their aggression levels.

There are many resources available to you if you wish to learn how to train your dog properly. Your local Akita Kennel Club will be able to provide you with classes where you can learn to train your dog under professional supervision. This, again, will allow your Akita to accept other dogs.

Whether you are looking to learn general secrets to dog training or the best methods of ‘Dog Training Akita’ breeds specifically, it is important to make use of the resources available to allow you to be the owner of a loyal, obedient dog.

Yet when you hear an American Akita barking, they can be extremely loud. Dont worry with proper knowledge and training you can do well to solve this problem. The key is to start when they are puppies.

Tips to stop American Akita Barking

Quick and easy steps to follow

Few things to keep in mind here. Akitas are highly intelligent dogs. Training them is generally not difficult for that reason. Yet it ’s important to start when they are puppies. Teaching them from a young age will be much easier to stop Akita barking. Usually the longer you wait the harder it will be.

7 tips to use to stop American Akita barking

-First is to make sure they are comfortable. Whether you are home or not, they need a place of their own, where they feel comfortable. Place toys a blanket and other things therein to make it cozy. Feeling comfortable will help them to be quiet.

- Akita’s really don’t like to be alone. When you go out leave on the radio or somesort of soft noise for them. This will make them more comfortable and help to make them not feel alone.

- To avoid Akita barking when you are not at home keep windows covered. If they see people passing by, they will be more apt to bark. Not seeing them will lessen the chance of this happening. This will work well when you are at home, and yet more important when they are alone.

- If you are around and your Akita barks, spray him with water from a spray bottle. This over time will prevent him from barking. Use a loud noise like “NO” when doing this. It is almost like a shock for them, coupled with the water they will eventually learn not to bark. This is a method that works very well.

- Hitting is never an option. This in no way will stop your Akita barking, but will only make them fear you. Your voice is a much more effective tool than hitting ever will be.

- When talking to your Akita, which you should do regularly, use a soft calmvoice. This will serve you better in having your dog listen to you. They will react much better to a calm voice. If you are excited or angry they will sense this. You will accomplish more by being calm and collected while talking to your Akita.

Click Here and Learn How to END Your Akita Barking Problems!

- Some may choose to use a kennel. This is fine yet if you do make it feel comfortable as well. Give them a blanket so it feels like a den and they will be less likely to bark. The key is feeling comfortable and a blanket will do this.

When do you attempt to stop American Akita Barking?

Why start when they are puppies

Akitas are extremely intelligent and loyal dogs. As with anyone, Akitas included, the earlier you start the better. It would be much harder to try to train them after a while they have learned certain habits. Teaching them young will instill in them what is acceptable and what is not.

Helpful hints to training puppies

There are many things you want to teach your Akita puppy, to stop Akita barking is just one. Let us look at a few tips for training.

It is important as soon as you bring your puppy home to attach a collar to them. It is important they get used to having this on. Also hook a lead to the collar and let them walk around with it. They need to feel the lead and get used to it. Eventually when they are used to it grab the lead and walk with them. You want them to not fear someone walking beside them.

Make sure you have a regimented feeding schedule. Feed them at the same time every day. This will make them aware that there are certain times to eat, and not when they feel like it. Always make sure they have access to clean fresh water.

Provide a certain spot in your yard for them to eliminate. This is important. Having a specific area will teach them to only go there.

Truly having an American Akita is a wonderful and challenging experience. Training them to be a loyal and obedient addition to the family will take time and patience. The outcome will be as rewarding as these dogs are a pleasure to have around. Following the above steps will assist you in getting them trained. Remember to start when they are young. This will enable you to have them trained and ‘stop American Akita barking’ early on.
They are known to be a difficult breed to begin with, so if you must have a Shiba Inu, ask the breeder for one that has a milder temperament.

Accredited club breeders

Accredited club breeders have to follow strict breeding guidelines and they can best advise you. Spend some time talking to the breeder who can also give you deeper insights into Shiba Inu training.

Puppyhood

Shiba Inu training must start from day one. Set up a schedule for yourself and your puppy which includes crate time, play time, walk in the fresh air time, grooming and certainly loving and cuddling time. Owning a dog is a lifetime commitment, and if you know this in advance, you and your dog will have a beautiful life together.

About crate training

An 8 week old puppy should only be kept in a crate for the amount of time shown by this simple guide: 2 months old + 1 = (maximum!) 3 hours in a crate. This is only a general guideline. Be sensitive to your puppy’s needs.

How long in the crate?

Most puppies will need to go outside more frequently than that in order to be potty trained and to get the proper exercise their growing bodies need.

As soon as he wakes up, take him outside as well as after vigorous playtime. Many puppies need to go potty around 10 minutes after playing.

Shiba Inu Training Behavior

There is a type of training called aversive obedience training. This is not recommended. This will only result in making him nervous and confused. Your puppy can develop an even worse attitude and be more problematic using this type of training.

Who’s the boss?

A Shiba Inu is strong-willed, but it isn’t true that strong-willed dogs need strong punishment to show you’re the boss.

Click Here Now to Discover the BEST Shiba Inu training Tips!

How’s the boss?

Constant harsh correction and discipline can cause your dog to mistrust you. Lack of trust can lead to aggression. You don’t want that, especially with your Shiba Inu.

Rewarding Your Shiba Inu

Reward training is far more effective than trying to force your puppy. Different dogs like different rewards. Some prefer food, others will flourish with abundant praise.

There is nothing wrong with a food reward. Just remember the rule: Good behavior is rewarded. Bad behavior, the reward is removed or not given. When his behavior is to your expectation, reward him immediately.

The Leader of the Pack

Another important point: Your dog must know that you are the “pack leader”. He has to know that everything he wants that’s pleasant comes from you, thus, treats only come when he does what you ask. A simple “sit” command gets a reward. If your dog tries to take control, the rewards are removed. Consistency is vital.

What are you projecting in Shiba Inu training?

With your Shiba Inu training, you have to stay on top of things. Learn how a dog thinks. If you come across as indecisive or even worse, afraid of him, he’ll pick it up and try to take over.

How are you responding?

Your reaction to his mistakes should never be angry or frustrated. Any action on your part that makes your dog (especially a puppy) more nervous will only exacerbate his behavioral mess-ups.

Educate yourself Now

Know in advance what you are getting into: a life-time commitment. Can you love your dog enough to stick with a consistent training program? Provide responsible care? Take him with you on a vacation? Learn as much as you can about handling your puppy and his various stages and you will have a lot easier time of things. Patience is definitely a virtue in training your Shiba Inu. Love is the key to any training and so is with ‘Shiba Inu Training’.

So if you do not want to be always well-worn then you must acquire the required skills to control your Akita chasing.

Basics of Controlling Akita Chasing

If you find that your puppy is passing through an intensive problem of chasing, then you should must know at least some elemenary retraining to fix this too extreme. The retraining will be very helpful to decrease this bad behaviour. The best helping thing in retraining can be the leash. It will be very friendly in the such situations where you want to apply well controlled method to impart both safety and training.

Let the Dog Focus on You

The most important thing in retraining is that let the dog always focus on you. This is possible only if you have proved yourself to be the Alpha leader of the pack in your house. On the time you are having a walk with your dog never allow her to move unless she is not keeping her attentions focused on your face. If she distract immediately stop moving. In this way she will understand that it is quite compulsory to keep her focus on you if she want to move.Hence a good control on Akita chasing.

Click Here Now to Discover the BEST Tips to STOP Akita Chasing!

Leash Training

It may be that your dog take interest in pulling the leash and does not care to look on your face. If it is so then it will take long to teach the right lesson to her. She must confirm that you have started moving before she starts move. To teach her this let her sit and wait before you take a move. Every time she pulls make her stop moving. In short time she will association between pull against the leash and quitting the movement. It will then aid to control your Akita chasing.

Distraction

If your dog chases off a leash, use a toy for distraction. Usually when the dog is under compulsion and obsession to chase a thing, find an object which can excite the dog upto the same extent as to the she is chasing. Put this object (say a toy) forth to the dog. She will be exiced about it quitting her fixation from the one chased. So distraction can be used to stop Akita chasing.

Aversion

Tricks to Stop Akita Chasing:

Some tricks can be manipulated to set aversion for chase in the mind of your dog. For example first test whether your dog likes chasing a person bicycling or jogging. Select her liking. Let she like to chase a person jogging. Now take the help of someone your brother or friend. Let she chase your friend jogging. Now three events should occur simultaneously. You say ‘no’, your friend stops and you spray water on the dog. Repeat this many times. It will suggest your Akita chasing that chasing is not good, and an aversion for chasing will be developed in her mind.

Avoid to Go to Extremes

Many people go to use extreme inhumane measures to stop negative behaviour like charged fences, shocking collers etc. This is to be highly condemned as it is not good in anyway. First these are inhumane. Secondly they are not bringing any fruit to control chasing. If every trial fails call a concerned expert to ‘stop Akita chasing.’

It can be seldom a matter of joy to hear the growling of any dog and that of an akita is not different to it. If akita growling is dreadful then it is obvious that it is a severe problem for you especially when you are not able to control this negative behaviour. If you want to get rid of this trouble you must take the steps to analyse the situations in which your akita do so.

Usually the dogs growl to send warnings to keep otherones remain away. This is their natural reacting behaviour to those seeming to be threats to them. Growling is also a sign that the dog is freigtend or hurt.

Causes of Dog Growling

There are a great number of causes behind the dog growling behaviour. It is neccessary to learn analysis of them to control this negative behaviour. If you have learned the analysis then your half of the job of curbing the trouble of growling is really over. It is usual that most of the persons mark the growling dog as an aggressive dog, but this is not hard and fast rule. Aggression can be associated to growling but not always.

The reality is that when a dog wants to keep away from a challenge she growls. Growling is used to signal the intruder to back off because she does not prefer scrap. If the offender does not back off to avoid the dispute the reaction can be biting snapping. This akita growling reaction can be from fright or ire.

Dealing the Reasons of Growling

Again it is to be stressed that you must analyse that the growling is an isolated behaviour issue or it is hybrid of some other else. In many instances the curb to growling will become too complicated if the akita growling on the first end belongs to aggression due to some triggering event but on the other end it is highly unsuitable to some persons and other animals.

Even then When it has been examined such that the strong symptom belongs to severe aggressiveness, even then both parts are to be addressed at the same time.

In the same way, a dog if got hurt can be growling at persons even at her owner if they try to come near to her even to help her. Explanation to this situation lies in the truth of wild life. There weaker can not survive. So a dog even if got hurt believe in showing off herself as strong one by growling so that she may be able to push the possible threats at far. In such cases call a vet to treat your dog.

In the best cases the pain is taken out,the growling comes to an end. But if the period of the pain was long enough then growling can be firmly rooted. In this case Akita Growling can be treated as an isolated issue after the pain is not an issue.

Anxiety and fear are two other major causes of dog growling. Aggressiveness is strongly activated by the fear resulting in more sudden unpredictable behaviour of possible great danger if remains undealt.

Once you have finalized the right cause of the growling you are in superior state to deal it.

LEARN How to STOP Akita Growling once and for all!

Socialization

The Best Way to Escape the Danger of Akita Growling:

If you want to escape the danger of akita growing trouble, the best way to do so is a thorough socialization of your dog at the very young age.

Expose your dog to the various types of persons, surroundings, and other unknown dogs when she is very young. This will avoid the development of fear from unknown persons and places and any other situations. So they will not drive to produce anxiety and aggressiveness like troubles in far future.

It is right that you can not take step too early. But keep in mind that it does not matter the puppy is too young for behaviour classes, because you can get your pup joined to a game group under a registered trainer. It will boost the ability of your pup to act together or towards others and strange persons.

Whining is one of innate conduct and is exhibited by nearly all the dogs. You can find Akitas exhibiting it more often. The main hindrance to control this behaviour is that dogs usually are not having any realization of it. In many situations the whining can be justified.

Timing is All Things

The major magic to regulate the Akita whining is to aid the dog in understanding that when it can be justified and when not. Simple but perfect way to do this is respond to or give heed to your Akita when the whining can be justified, for example requirement to go outside.

Underlying Challenges

Usually it is easy to say but difficult to do. It is better to know deeply a troublesome behaviour of whining before you step in to rectify that.

Akita whining does not only mean that there is something wrong with her health. She can whine for plenty of causes like anxiety, hurt, boredom, fear, upset etc.

If you find a sudden great whining of your dog, fist make it clear that there is no medical cause for it, then go for her training.

The biggest complication to control Akita whining is that whining is an instinct. So this behaviour being quite natural, its curbing by punishing can make the things further complicated. An upset Akita whining if is punished for whining, will become more upset and will go on whining further without having any sensation of her inappropriateness.

What Can Be Done?

Find the real cause of Akita Whining:

Do not take it as that there is no solution to this trouble. The solution is there, but multifarious treatment is required. Doing anything else first you must find the real cause of activation of whining, then select an appropriate solution based on the type of the cause. It will give you success in your mission.

Obedience Training:

Lots of methods used in obedience training will fit well to address the problem of ‘Akita Whining.’. For example you are across an Akita whining due to separation anxiety problem, you address her anxiety, the whining will be curbed automatically.

It is a universal instinct in dogs to jump, and so is Akita jumping. They jump for various reasons. Many dogs jump to greet you and it is their way of greeting. Researches shows that many dogs jump simply to have a close look of your face. For whatever reason they are jumping it is dangerous if they are jumping on small children or elderly persons. Jumping is also found for showing dominance.

Harm and Hurt

Jumping may be for any reason from several ones, but its potential of harm and hurt remains the same. Akita jumping can be a big trouble. Akita being huge in size and having mighty muscles can cause hurts with ease. They can do harm to properties and injure persons. And if the place where they are jumping is littered or restricted they can also put injuries on them.

As the majority of the Akitas are very quick and have their large bodies when are grown up are capable of bulk devastations and destructions to the possessions by fortuity. Puppies and dogs small in size who have the tendency to jump around usually cause accidents while bounce around on the things.

It is not only the property which can be damaged, old persons, patients and small children can severely suffer if are bumped by a jazzing around Akita.

Akita Athleticism

Akitas are keeping the best potential for athleticism. Their physical built is athletic, so they enjoy and keep themselves occupied in various activities.

If your Akita is not taking that much of exercise which is necessary to consume excesses of energy in her, then it is obvious that she will use that energy in physical actions which may or may not be appropriate and jumping is one of them.

If the Akita keeps on jumping and is not being controlled you can use the ways in which she is exhausted. So making her tired can help you to control her unwanted jumping.

Click Here and Learn How to STOP Your Akita Jumping Problems Now!

Causes of Jumping

Let we discuss in detail some reasons for your Akita jumping. The foremost reason for a dog to jump is its excitement. Whatever may be the reason of her excitement, the excitement causes the dog to jump. So you will have to be very strict to stop the Akita jumping if she jumps on the face of new persons when she sees them first time. So if you have come to know that the excitement is the major reason of jumping then the most important work for you is to manage to stop your Akita jumping immediately. Do it as soon as possible.

If the Akita jumps up on the persons only when she meets them first time then it is due to its excitement, but if she does so every time then it is due to her feelings of her dominance over them.

It is an indication of a still bigger trouble. Your dog is feeling that she is in charge of every thing even of you. And jumping is her way to tell others about her score that she is the only leader and she will rule and you all will have to be subdued before her.

It indicates there is something lacking in your leadership. If you might have proved that you are leader of the pack in her eyes then she has not dare to exhibit this behaviour of dominance. Your Akita will never think of obligation to take care of the pack if it was known to her that you was meant for it and she will be always waiting for your guidance.

Controlling the Tendency to Jump

Akita Jumping as an Habit:

If your Akita has the habit of jumping on you since she was very young, then it requires much longer time to stop it. You will have to go through the “no jumping”, “off” commands in the environment of obedience training.

Dominance Jumper:

If your Akita jumper is dominance jumper then you will have to prepare yourself to give a big answer of your dominance right away. To boost it use the commands like “sit”, “stay” and you must be consistent in praising her only when she has stopped jumping. So master key to stop ‘Akita Jumping.’ is consistency.

This can be a race of dominance between you and your Aggressive Akita. An other major possibility can be an undealt trigger in her puppy- hood for example an onrush from a strong dog on her. Regardless of the ground behind it you must be attentive to resolve it at the earliest. Consequences of sustained aggressive behaviour cannot go only frightening, but drastic if not immediately undertaken to do the needful.

The Origin of Aggressiveness in Akita Dogs

Usually the aggression in dogs starts when they are nearby 40 days old, and it is the age which can be said the age of socialization. So at this the puppy is to trained for socialization which will prevent them from biting others. Process of socialization goes up to the age of 100 days and can be elongated further if needed.

A lot of concerns are to be watched. Avoid to separate a puppy from her litter and mother before she is of 60 days of age. During this period she must be given a gentle treatment. Never hit and yell her. Never punish her in unkind manner, otherwise all it will lay a strong base of aggression in her in the long run.

Till your Akita puppy attains the age of 100 days it should be kept treated in the right way for socialization to not to let her to be turned into an aggressive Akita.

Real aggressiveness can be activated in great number of ways. Inherited attributes and genetic endowment are surely some casual contributors to aggressiveness but hard and fast rules can not be laid from them. Neutering and spaying can largely reduce aggressiveness.

Whatsoever it may be, bad living conditions are most responsible for the development or aggressive behaviour in a dog. Lagging of socialization, harshness of the owners and her bad experience of frightening attacks from some other dogs are most probable factors of her future aggressiveness.

Aggressiveness can be the result of trials for establishment to a higher pack pecking order. A young dog trying to avail chance to raise her dominance can be expected biting, making vain conceited postures during its adolescent period, and it asserts that she has not got any chance till now to have the control over the household.

So it is very unnatural to expect a nil Akita chewing. Chewing very much relates to mind. When puppies find themselves in boring situation they chew. Teething is also in the back ground of chewing. All it means that there is nothing which is required to relate to stopping chewing absolutely. Here the whole focus is on shifting the chewing from your useful things carpet couch etc to your puppy’s personal things like toys and bones etc.

Reasons to stop Akita Chewing

Usually, when the puppy is young and starts chewing, many owners think that it is all okay to let her chew anything as it does not seem harmful to them at this time. On the contrary, many do not allow chewing at all and yell at chewing. This yelling confuses the puppies and it leads to many behaviour problems in future. The best is to adopt the mid way. Allow them chewing but help to reconise what is okay to chew and what is not.

The Right Way to Stop Akita Chewing

When you are on the way to controll the chewing habits of your puppy, you must keep in your brain that you will not yell, beat, hit them. Does not matter how raging your anger be, you should not punish them. Otherwise you will be simply confusing them and they will new know what wrong they have done and why are you punishing them. Instead, follow the following guidelines.

Adjusting Behaviour

On the contrary to prevent your puppy from chewing on your useful items, you educate her to chew on her personal toys and bones etc. ment for chewing. For example if your puppy started chewing on your shoes, simply give her her toy to chew. She will stop chewing your shoes and will begin chewing on the stimulating toy and will learn what is good chewing and what is bad chewing. So convert your Akita chewing to Akita okay chewing.

Discover How to STOP Your Akita’s Chewing Problems For Good!

Let Your Akita Remain Engaged

Puppies chew when they feel that they are getting bored. What they get from chewing in main is there time pass. For them it is similar to getting through a filmy magazine. So you should manage for them plenty of alternatives to keep them active. You can provide them a variety of good attractive toys. Engage them in regular sufficient exercises and other games. So to conrol Akita chewing when they are not teething is to make them occupied as much as possible in various possible ways.

Crate Training

Often there are times when you are away from your home. At this time it is best your puppy should be in a crate. So you must have got your puppy crate train. It will make her access limited to your home in your absence. An alternate to it is to put your puppy in a small separate room the aim remains same to minimise her access to your home.

Aversion Sprays

If you find your Akita chewing your useful things like shoes, socks, carpets etc., you can use some sprays having bad taste for her to spray on the items to avoid their destruction by your puppy chewing them. The bad taste of the sprays (Bitter Apple or Cayenne Pepper etc.) on the things will make your puppy feel that the things are not tasting good and hence stop chewing taking it as not okay chew.

No doubt that the chewing is one of the quite normal behaviours of the puppies, but chewing on your fingers or other possessions should be never allowed. If you get them chewing them, redirect it to something else.

Consistency

If you want to control your Akita chewing in reality then you never forget to be consistent. Never allow your puppy to chew on the things you do not want she should do. Try your best to keep the things away which you don’t want to be chewed by her. Never give them stuffed animals as to use as toys otherwise they will never come to distinguish between okay chew stuffed animal and none okay chew ones. You must prove yourself as an exacting owner laying down very hard rules to be really followed. The time will come when really you have controlled your ‘Akita Chewing’.

A puppy is probably the cutest thing in the world, but if it’s an issue, you need to stop puppy biting as quickly as possible. Many owners don’t realize that this behaviour can lead to issues with dominance and aggression later in the dog’s life, no matter how cute it might seem when your Akita Puppy is rolling around on the floor.

In fact, Akita Puppy like most puppies learn to stop biting when they are still very young. Because they have so many brothers and sisters in their litter, they quickly learn that when they bite, they get bitten back. By the time a puppy is eight weeks old, it should already know not to bite. The problem then is that the mother doesn’t always get eight weeks to stop puppy biting.

The Early Days

If you take home a puppy that is less than eight weeks old or that simply did not learn not to nip and bite at your fingers before you got it, it’s important to take quick action to stop the biting behavior.

First thing’s first. Never hit your Akita Puppy in response to the bite. If they don’t think you’re playing, they may become afraid of you, developing serious phobias and anxieties that can lead to aggression issues later in life. So you will have to always act as if you are really playing with them to avoid the risk of their phobias and anxieties develop.

To truly stop puppy biting, you need to address the root of the behavior. To do this, you should encourage them in any good behaviors and discourage any negative behaviors. Don’t confuse the puppy by playing games that might lead to this kind of aggression. Avoid wrestling, tug of war, or chase games that will lead to nipping by your Akta Puppy.

Consistency will be very important in training your puppy. If you really want to stop Akita Puppy biting, you cannot grow soft or let the dog get away with anything. You’re doing this all for its own good.

Akita Puppy Training

Akita Puppy Training in socialization classes

When you start training your Akita Puppy, try to enroll them in obedience or socialization classes. There are actual bite inhibition classes where trainers will mimic the behaviours of the puppy’s mother, teaching it that the bites are not socially acceptable. Socialization is good for many other reasons as well. It teaches your dog to respond well to other dogs on the street and will reduce any aggression they show toward other dogs.

Behavior Redirection to Stop Akita Puppy Biting

Early, when you try to stop your Akita Puppy biting, redirect the behavior to something constructive like a chew toy or bone. If you say “No!” and then give the dog a toy to chew on instead, they will often learn very quickly that the finger is not okay, but the toy is.

Hurt Noise Method to Stop Akita Puppy Biting

Another good method is to make a small, hurt noise whenever the puppy nips at you. This will replicate the response a dog gets when it bites its litter mate. A soft whine or yip will tell the puppy that it has caused you pain, something it doesn’t want to do. Startle the dog enough that they let go and leave you be.
Training to stop puppy biting is a very important part of the relocation process, especially if ‘Akita Puppy’ is very young. Ideally, your puppy should understand that by the time they are 10 weeks old, biting is not okay. It will make the years to come much less stressful and the risk of potential aggression the future much lower.
